Applications are invited for the post of Clerical Officer with An Chomhairle Leabharlanna.

The Role
The successful candidate will form part of the Administration team. The Administration Department supports the human resource, finance and corporate affairs function within the organisation. A high level of computer literacy is required.

(Salary: €24,408 – €39,556 inclusive of LSI) Increments are granted annually if the appointee’s service is satisfactory.

Requirements
Candidates should have obtained at least Grade D (or a pass), in Higher or Ordinary level, in five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Established Leaving Certificate Examination or Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme, or have passed an examination of at least equivalent standard or have had at least two years’ previous service in a permanent and pensionable office of Clerical Officer, Clerk/Typist (Clerical Duties), Clerk Typist (Typing and Clerical Duties) or Clerk/Typist under a local authority, or health board in the State.

An Chomhairle Leabharlanna is the statutory body which advises the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government and library authorities on the development of public libraries in Ireland and promotes co-operation through the Irish library and information services sector.
