As part of the Centenary Celebrations for Malahide’s Carnegie Library there will be a day long history seminar in the library on Saturday June 13th from 10.30 to 16.00.
Papers will include:
Social Improvement in Malahide in the 19th Century (Joseph Byrne); Nathaniel Hone and North County Dublin (Jessica O’Donnell);
Carnegie Libraries in Fingal (Brendan Grimes); Sea Trade in Malahide ( Paddy Ryan); Malahide Prelate & his turbulent times (Sinead Collins); Carnegies other gift to Malahide (Brendan Teeling); The collection of Fingal Archives (Colm McQuinn).
The seminar will be chaired by Michael Ryan and is being sponsored by Irish Library Supplies.
