Ireland’s eGovernment Awards in association with eircom, jointly run by the Public Sector Times newspaper and web usage and web strategy experts Elucidate, are now in their 8th year. They are the recognised benchmark for excellence in Irish eGovernment services and standards. The Awards raise awareness and recognise the innovators, developers, forward thinkers and experts who are pioneering the changes happening in how the Irish Government delivers services to its citizens.
South Dublin County Council’s library services have been shortlisted in two categories:
Accessible Ireland’s eGovernment Award
South Dublin Libraries new website
Local Ireland’s eGovernment Award
Connecting to the Past: Mapping South Dublin County in Time
South Dublin County Libraries have also been nominated in the People’s Choice Ireland’s eGovernment Award 2010
This year the public nominated the eGovernment service websites that they considered to have made a considerable difference to Irish citizens. Voting is now open and the winner, as nominated and voted by the public, will be announced on 19th February at Ireland’s eGovernment Awards ceremony in the State Apartments, Dublin Castle.
