Brightwater are looking to employ an Archivist/Librarian on a three month contract.

Responsibilities include:
• Maintain and manage the record retention and archiving program for company products and source code. This includes the acceptance of artefacts into the archive in a catalogued manner, retrieval or artefacts, burning or transferring onto alternate media (CD, DVD, FTP) and Mastering for distribution
• Maintaining project files and files on servers for workflow
• Work with supervisor and other departments to streamline processes, create efficiencies, and implement/complete special archiving projects
• Answer queries from personnel on indexing, procedures, and questions relating to record retention and retention database functionalities
• Train personnel on new and established filing, record retention and archiving requirements.
Education, Experience Knowledge Skills Required:
• Archiving Fundamentals – librarian attributes, vision of future needs, preservation and protection techniques, organization, indexing
• Familiarity and experience with data replication and disaster recovery concepts and procedures
• Understanding of digital file format application in specific media
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to meet scheduled deadlines with a fluctuating workload
• Ability to work independently with little direction in an established yet developing workflow
• Ability to learn and proficiently use new and emerging technologies
• Understanding of workflow for software development and release
• Knowledge of Windows and Mac servers, operating systems, and file systems
• Mid-level mastery of Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign preferred
• Some college and/or two years experience as a librarian or in the Digital Asset Management field
