Cavan Book Clubs

Cavan Library Reading Groups are an important and flourishing part of Cavan Library Service’s efforts to promote interest in quality literature. New members are always welcome to join any of our Reading Groups:

Cavan Reading Group (Established 1999) Meets on the last Wednesday of each month from September to June at 1pm in Johnston Central Library

Bailieborough Library Book Club (Established 2008):
Meets on last Tuesday of every month at 1pm in Bailieborough Library

Cootehill Library Book Club (Established 2002): Meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm in Cootehill Library

Club Leabhair / Irish Language Reading Group (6 -9 / 10 – 13 year olds) (Established 2007)
Meets on first Thursday of each month from September to June
3.30pm – 4.00pm for 6 – 9 year olds in Johnston Central Library.
4.30pm – 5.00pm for 10-13 year olds in Johnston Central Library.

Grúpa Léitheoireachta / Irish Reading Group (Adults Only) (Established 2006).
An “As Gaeilge” Reading Group for adults. Meetings are conducted through Irish. Meets on first Saturday of every month at 12pm
