There is a range of courses available in both Ireland and the UK for staff who wish to take a full-time or part-time course.
Dublin Business School
The Dublin Business School offers a full- or part-time MSc in Library and Information Management which leads to a professional qualification.
The course is jointly awarded by HETAC and Liverpool John Moores University, and is accredited by CILIP.
University College Dublin, School of Information & Library Studies
UCD offers a number of full-time programmes that lead to a professional qualification:
- Undergraduate – Information Studies may be taken as a subject within the following programmes:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA)
- Bachelor of Arts (Computer Science) (BA(CompSci))*
- Bachelor of Social Science (BSocSc)
- Post-graduate Programmes:
- Graduate Diploma in Library & Information Studies (HDipLIS)
- Master of Library & Information Studies (MLIS)
University of Ulster
The University of Ulster School of Education offers a part-time Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in Library and Information Management.
