www.citizensinformation.ie A user-friendly site that provides information about all public services in Ireland. You can search by life event (e.g. find out all you need to know about getting married in Ireland) or by topic. Also allows you search for your nearest health centre, social welfare office, etc.

www.contacts.gov.ie This site, developed by OASIS, provides over 8,000 addresses of public service providers in Ireland, ranging from Public Libraries, through to ESB Shops, Post Offices, Schools, etc. You can search for contact information by place or by service.

www.irlgov.ie The government’s portal site provides direct links to the websites of government departments and state agencies. Allows a search of all Irish public service websites at once.

Office of the Ombudsman The website of the Ombudsman provides information about when and how you can avail of the Ombudsman’s services.

Office of the Information Commissioner The website of the Information Commissioner provides information about when and how you can avail of the Information Commissioner’s services.

National Consumer Agency The website for the National Consumer Agency contains information about your rights as a consumer, consumer news and research.

Data Protection Commissioner The Data Protection Commissioner is concerned with the protection of your right to privacy, and your right to exercise control over how your personal information is used. The website aims to help you in exercising these rights, by giving you the information you need.

The Equality Authority The Equality Authority’s website explains what the functions of the Authority and provides information about anti-discrimination legislation in Ireland.

The Irish Statute Book A user-friendly database of Acts of the Oireachtas and Statutory Instruments from 1922 to 1998.

www.citizensinformationboard.ie The Citizens Information Board (formerly Comhairle) is the national support agency responsible for supporting the provision of information, advice and advocacy on social services.
