Who said books are dead?

Junior book club members in Dublin City Libraries read and talked about 127 different books in 2009 –who said books are dead?! Not only did they read the books but they talked about them as well!

Roddy Doyle was the most popular author along with Enid Blyton, Judi Curtin (again!), Siobhán Dowd, Philip Pullman, Kate Thompson and Jacqueline Wilson.
Old favourites such as Roald Dahl, Frances Hodgson Burnett (A Little Princess), A.A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh) and L.M. Montgomery (Anne of Green Gables) are still going strong
